Imperial Bathrooms plans to reopen a factory in Middlewich later this year after it was bought by Imperial Bathrooms Group.
The factory in Booth Lane, which is quite iconic in its own right, had to close in June losing over 250 jobs. This was a massive loss to the industry and also devastating for local families who lost their main source of income.
However, Imperial Bathrooms has now bought it and will restart the facility over the next few months. They announced they would gradually employ over 150 people in the factory, which has come as great news to locals and industry professionals alike.
Imperial Bathroom's managing director commented, "We've acquired an excellent plant with a rich history and a great commitment from staff.... I think we're one of the first firms to make the move back to Europe - but I'm certain more will follow. This deal will restore a manufacturing facility and many employment opportunities in a community that has served this business site for many generations. We're proud to be re-entering the UK market as a manufacturer and have been overwhelmed by all the support and assistance. It's also very exciting to be back in the birthplace of this fantastic industry. We have come home!"
The Imperial bathrooms South Manchester facility will see an iconic building re-opened - something which the industry has long anticipated. The local people will also be pleased with the increase in job roles so soon after the facility shut down in the first place.
Imperial bathrooms provide many different styles and ranges of bathroom furniture, fittings and accessories for people of many different budgets. Their ranges are unique, stylish and affordable. Their lighting solutions are also spot on trend and many people find they combine practicality with pleasing aesthetics. With the help of a style consultant, the perfect bathroom can be created in your chosen style and taste but without the designer price tag, something all too important in these difficult financial times where everyone is feeling the pinch!
Many of their suites are white, but more recently they have introduced a new black range - especially for the most stylish of bathrooms. This is great for the fashion conscious person who really wants to "wow" with their bathroom style!
There are showrooms up and down the country, and Imperial bathrooms have a great experience in providing a high quality service to all of its customers.
