If you have a small bathroom there are tricks out there which will help you maximise space and expand the look of your room.
Firstly, make sure the fixtures are not too big for your space. Get something slightly smaller than a standard size so you have more space to play with. Try installing a shower instead of a bath, for example. It is also a good idea to try and visit our showroom. Visiting our bathroom showroom in Stockport can make for great inspiration for those who have smaller bathrooms and want to use the little space they have to their advantage. You may also find unusual or different fixtures on display which could work for your room.
Another tip is to try and use the walls to your favour. This is an attempt to get more things off of the floor so the floor is clearer, which in turn makes the room look larger. Try fixing cabinets to your wall. Mirrored cabinets are also a good idea; as mirrors are good at making a space look and feel larger than it is. This is all about creating an illusion rather than having to physically make more space.
You can also employ little tricks such as making the door open outwards instead of inwards. This eats up less space when entering a room.
Colour is important when attempting to achieve more space. Colours should be neutral (whites are best) and you should avoid patterns or small tiles. These will just make a small room look busy and confine the space. There should also be a lot of natural light in the room.
If you have the capacity, expand your window. Flooding light into a room makes it not only seem bigger, but it cuts down on electricity bills too.
If you space is extremely small then you need to choose the right style of suite for your bathroom, the smaller the space the more people will notice if you decide to install a poor quality suite. Why not visit your local Tubs and Loos showroom and take a look at our massive range of Imperial Bathroom suites, if there is only room for a shower then you can browse our large range of Showerlux shower enclosures and shower mixers
