As it has become more difficult in these modern times to sell and buy a new property, many people across the UK are considering improving their current home rather than buying another. Bathrooms are more difficult to extend because of the plumbing involved, but 48% of people say that they have "rarely" thought about even redecorating their bathroom space. This is alarming because a bathroom is a practical room where a lot of time is spent on a daily basis. Avocado coloured bathroom suites with patterned tiles are a thing of the past. It is now about clean cut, white, simple units with white tiles and large windows. This allows an extraordinary amount of natural light to flood the room, giving it an instant boost and this in turn can make the room look bigger.

A company specialising in bath design in Cheshire stated, "Many people think bathrooms are too expensive to make over, and it is easier to just slap a bit of paint on another room to redecorate it rather than hauling up a load of tiles and plumbing.
